On July 28, we had the honor of welcoming Ambassador Lynda C. Blanchard to our work at the University of Florida. During her visit, she took a close look at our robotic platform and learned about the progress we are making toward autonomous, commercial-level yield estimation for the blueberry breeding program.

She was especially impressed by the rover and its potential to support breeders and growers with faster, more accurate field insights. Her appreciation for the effort behind this work was a great encouragement for our team and reinforced the importance of translating robotics research into practical solutions for agriculture.

This work is part of our broader goal to bring intelligent automation into high-value crop breeding and production systems. By combining robotics, computer vision, and machine learning, we are working to make yield estimation more scalable, more objective, and more useful for real-world decision-making in blueberry production.
